到达了 End of The World 就会合我的老大(16少) 和我们拍摄Macro的女高手JennyHo。

Penang National Park

History and fact
The Penang National Park spanning 1,213ha of land and sea awaits scientists, researchers and nature lovers to explore its myriad of natural treasures.

Previously known as the Pantai Acheh Forest Reserve, this pristine site harbours a wealth of 417 flora and 143 fauna species. Pantai Acheh Forest Reserve, located at the northwestern tip of Penang was declared the Penang National Park in April 2003.

Penang National Park is the first protected area legally gazetted under the National Park Act of 1980, signifying the State and Federal Governments’ efforts in protecting the environment.

Penang National Park was set up to preserve and protect flora and fauna as well as objects with geological, archaeological, historical, ethnological and other scientific and scenic interests. The park is unique as it contains several different types of habitat including a meromictic lake (a lake in which some water remains partly or wholly unmixed with the main water mass at circulation periods), wetlands, mangroves, mudflats, coral reefs and turtle nesting beaches.

Pantai Kerachut
The meromictic lake is the greatest attraction here. It is a popular picnic and camping site and famous turtle hatchery. Pantai Kerachut is the only beach where the Green Sea Turtle “Chelonia mydas” can be spotted. It is believed that the Green Turtle only migrates here for nesting.

From End of the World, follow the track along the coast until you cross a suspension bridge. Take the path on the left that leads away from the coast, or just use1A-6A-6B-6C/6D/6E. You should be able to reach Pantai Keracut in one hour and a half.

Meromictic lake
A meromictic lake has layers of water which do not intermix.[1] In ordinary, “holomictic” lakes, at least once each year there is a physical mixing of the surface and the deep waters[2]. This mixing can be driven by wind, which creates waves and turbulence at the lake’s surface, but wind is only effective at times of the year when the lake’s deep waters are not much colder than its surface waters. In a “monomictic” lake, this mixing occurs once a year; in “dimictic” lakes, the mixing occurs twice a year (typically Spring and Autumn), and in “polymictic” lakes the mixing occurs several times a year. In meromictic lakes, the layers of the lake water remain unmixed for years, decades, or centuries.

History of Kuala Lumpur

with a focus on Yap Ah Loy. Kuala Lumpur was founded in 1857 when Raja Abdullah, a member of the Selangor royal family, brought in tin prospectors to the muddy confluence of Sungai Gombak and Sungai Lumpur (today Sungai Klang). The first group of 87 Chinese prospectors arrived and began prospecting in the Ampang area. Within a short while, they were struck down by malaria and other pestilential conditions - as many as 69 died. Still, more tin miner came to take their place. Traders set up shop at the confluence of the two rivers, and as a frontier town was established.

Eye on Malaysia

The Eye on Malaysia is the tallest portable observation wheel in South-East Asia. The 60-metre structure is located at Titiwangsa Lake Gardens, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. (Coordinates: 3°10′39.20″N, 101°42′15.68″E)

The ferris wheel comprising of 42 gondolas (including 1 VIP one) is similar to the London Eye and has been unveiled in conjunction of Visit Malaysia Year 2007 on January 6, 2007 by Malaysian Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

This giant ferris wheel allows visitors to experience a 360-degree panoramic view of Kuala Lumpur during a 12-minute ride that goes 60 metres high. It offers a magnificent view of Kuala Lumpur and over 20 kilometres of its surroundings including KL Tower, Istana Budaya and Petronas Twin Towers.

Petronas Twin Towers

The Petronas Twin Towers (also known as the Petronas Towers), in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, were the world’s tallest towers from 1998 to 2004, if measured from the level of the main entrance to the structural top. Critics point out that this applies to only one of four height categories defined by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat - although the three additional height categories were only introduced as the tower neared completion in 1996, as opposed to the original category which had been in use since 1969. [1] In terms of the height to roof, as well as the height to pinnacle point it is a fair bit shorter than the Sears Tower, Chicago, United States.
